HSL Opens Leasing for La Promenade Mall
Hock Seng Lee (HSL) is now accepting bookings for its lease-only La Promenade Mall, scheduled for completion early next year.
Levels one to three of the mall is ready for booking, as well as level four, which are office suites.
“We are offering early bird promos starting now for this premium lease-only development. Above the mall and office suites, from levels 5 to 10, will be HSL’s own new headquarters. The shopping mall component of the new HQ is currently one of our most exciting projects,” said leasing manager Trish Lui.

La Promenade Mall has just 11,244m2 of space. It is designed to focus on services and basic needs. The targeted tenancy mix includes an upscale supermarket, bank, clinic, pharmacy, gym, personal care, food and beverage operators, Lui said.
The mall is the focal point of the entire La Promenade development of which 150 acres are gated and guarded residences, while 50 acres is for commercial development.
La Promenade Mall also has the twin advantage of being along a busy expressway. The site is just 50 meters after the bridge from Tabuan Jaya.
The expressway leads to Samarahan — Sarawak’s fastest developing township — and is parallel to the Pan Borneo Highway. The area will also be served by the recently announced Kuching LRT.
The population within 5km of La Promenade numbers around 55,000 people, increasing to 165,000 within 10km.
“Nineteen per cent of the population within 5km have incomes above RM8,000, 45% earn between RM5,000 and RM8,000; 36% earn RM5,000 and below. In terms of age group, the largest at 30% are between 36 to 50 years old, followed by 26 to 35-year-olds at just under 30%,” Lui said.
The mall is 15 minutes by car to Kuching International Airport, Swinburne University of Technology and two public universities. A stone’s throw away is the Sarawak General Hospital’s Heart Centre.
“The tagline we have chosen for La Promenade is ‘Leading The Way In Luxury Living’, and we intend this mall to embody that. We want a good mall for the convenience and enjoyment of our residents as well as HSL staff,” Lui said.
“At the heart of La Promenade’s masterplan is lush landscaping and green building technologies. The mall will connect seamlessly to a new park HSL is planning, which will be opened to the public.”
She added the completion of the mall and new headquarters will mark a new chapter in HSL’s growth.
“The company has a long and special history in Sarawak. Join us at the mall as we look forward to new opportunities.”
