LIGHTS ON AT LA PROMENADE

KUCHING: Hock Seng Lee (HSL) is organising its first ever night time sales event at La Promenade, the largest gated community in Sarawak, this Saturday, Oct 17.
“Lights On @ La Promenade” will be 6.30-10.30pm at the newly opened Convertible House inside Precinct Luxe, which is the second phase development of La Promenade.
HSL is promising a relaxing evening for staff and customers to mingle. Food will be by Indah House, a top rated restaurant on Trip Advisor.
“Lights On is an idea from an architect we worked with. Recently, while IDC Architects was putting final touches on Convertible House, they showed us photographs with all lights on. It was beautiful, even in the photos. A night sales event has been on our minds since,” corporate affairs manager Shirley Loo said.
“We’re proud of our new Convertible House and having this at night will showcase the house in the best light. Indah House will be making good use of the kitchen within Convertible House.”
Convertible House was unveiled to the public a week ago. It is the third and final showhouse within Precinct Luxe, which comprises 112 superlink houses.
Convertible House fully utilises all three-floors of the unit, coming in at a whopping 2,500sqft of walled-up space.
IDC Architects principal Tina Lau said large spaces always offered numerous configuration opportunities.
“It was our aim to show how spaces can be interpreted in a multitude of ways. In multi-generational living, homes should be flexible and customisable to end-user needs. We didn’t want to just take away permanent walls and rooms — we wanted to show ‘walls’ could be a rotating full-height shelf or movable screens.
“This is ‘duality’ of use from one single element demonstrates how good designs create possibilities rather than limitations,” Lau said.
Convertible House features plenty of plants from My City Landscaping and art from Ranee Artisans Gallery.
HSL’s property development general manager Tay Chiok Kee said public interest in La Promenade is growing.
“The township is maturing in landscape and products on offer. La Promenade is also growing in terms of public awareness. Last weekend, 198 groups visited Convertible House over two days. We received a dozen bookings for across all house types — superlink intermediate and corner, and bookings for three-storey duplex in Precinct Grande, which is under-construction,” Tay added.
Coming up is La Promenade Mall, which is part of HSL’s new HQ, and another showhouse at Samariang Aman 3 in Petra Jaya.
HSL implements Safe Operating Procedure at sales events, including temperature checks, masks, sanitisers and no over-crowding. The premises are thoroughly and regularly sanitised.
