HSL’S Affordably Priced Houses Popular With Sibu Buyers

Samariang Aman 2 and Highfields 3 Among Most Sought After Projects

SIBU: Affordability and landed properties were the main draws at Hock Seng Lee’s Sibu property roadshow.

Over last weekend, the company’s sales consultants received hundreds of enquiries about Samariang Aman 2, which is in Petrajaya, and Highfields 3 at Batu Kawa. Both projects located in Kuching feature mid-range terraces and semi-detached homes.

“Terrace houses were really popular. Many Sibu buyers were keen to own a home in the state capital. Some wanted houses for their children’s education, others were Kuching locals posted to work in Sibu,” corporate affairs manager Shirley Loo said.

“We are very pleased with the Sibu response. We received new bookings, and many wanted to visit our projects during the mid-year holidays. They want to see for themselves our award-winning Samariang Aman township. They also want to see Highfields 3 because they like larger houses,” Loo said.

All of HSL’s current real estate development are landed properties. This is the core of its long-term planning.

“We believe Sarawakian buyers prefer landed properties. We are confident landed homes offer residents more than high-rises. There are a lot of research on why and how people feel connected to land. That’s why landed houses are still valued, especially in a time when the industry is moving towards compactness,” Loo added.

HSL’s next big launch is Precinct Grande in La Promenade, the company’s flagship. A premium offering, Precinct Grande comprises superior bungalows and duplexes.

“La Promenade is a world-class township. It is as good as any of the award-winning townships in big cities,” Loo said. “We want to elevate Kuching’s status as a highly liveable city with all our projects. La Promenade, with the upcoming Precinct Grande launch, is at the forefront.”

La Promenade won a masterplanning prize at the Malaysian Landscape Architecture Awards in April last year. More recently, in January, La Promenade won the top honours at the Sheda Excellence Awards in masterplanning and best landed residential categories.
