Hock Seng Lee Construction Sendirian Berhad (HSL Construction) commenced business in property development in the year 2000, having acquired a strategic land bank in a successful corporate exercise in June 2000.
Since then it has launched several successful residential and commercial projects in and around Kuching and undertaken construction contracts for residential quarters and a school.
Its products have earned a reputation for being innovative in design and value-for-money.
The Group's move into property development is seen as synergistic to its construction and engineering business and has enlarged HSL's operations and earnings base.
HSL's strong financial standing enables the group to offer flexible payment terms to clients or negotiate contracts on cash-kind combination terms. By accepting payments in the form of land, HSL is continuing to boost its land bank which in turn will generate new projects for property development.
HSL Construction is expected to be a significant ongoing contributor to Group bottom line going forward.
