HSL's expertise in marine engineering was recognised when the Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) entrusted the Company with the precision earthworks to construct the first aqua-culture farms in Sarawak.
The Santubong Prawn Farm in Kuching covers an area of 100 acres with a hatchery complex and 56 ponds cultivating premium tiger prawns for local consumption and export.
A similar project was completed by HSL in Oya, Sibu. This industry, well-suited to riverside locations, is set to bring socio-economic development to rural communities.
