The Board of Directors of Hock Seng Lee Berhad (“HSL”) is pleased to announce that HSL has received the letter of acceptance on 28 October 2011 from Jabatan Kerja Raya, Sarawak, for The New Water Treatment Plant, Reservoir and Associated Facilities of the Proposed Samalaju Water Supply, Bintulu Division (“the Project”). The contract sum for the Project is Ringgit Malaysia Ninety Million Two Hundred Eighty Thousand Only (RM90,280,000.00).

The scope of works for the Project includes mechanical and electrical works, earthworks, drainage and retaining structures, piling, piping and construction of the water treatment plant itself and associated works. The works of the Project will be due to be completed by April 2013.

The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of HSL Group for the financial years ending 2012 to 2013.

None of the directors and/or major shareholders of HSL or persons connected to them have any interest, direct or indirect, in the above contract.
