| The Board of Directors of Hock Seng Lee Berhad (“HSL”) is pleased to announce that HSL has received the letter of acceptance of tender on 18 August 2010 from Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation, for The Proposed Road starting from Serdeng Junction passing through Bandar Baru Tanjung Manis, Halal Park And Kampung Rajang, Mukah Division, Sarawak (Package A – Road, Drainage and Associated Works) (“the Project”). The contract sum for the Project is Ringgit Malaysia Forty Seven Million One Hundred Thousand only (RM47,100,000.00). The scope of works includes earthworks, road, drainage, bridges and other associated works. The route will traverse low-lying coastal terrain thus necessitating extensive reclamation and geotechnical engineering works. The contract period for the Project will be twenty four months commencing 26 August 2010. The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of HSL Group for the financial years ending 2010 to 2012. None of the directors and/or major shareholders of HSL or persons connected to them have any interest, direct or indirect, in the above contract. |
